We refer after hours care to fully staffed clinics and hospitals for the simple reason that it is ultimately in your pet's best interest. Unfortunately, it is not feasible for us to be open and staffed 24/7.
Please note that we only allow stable animals to remain overnight as we do not have a doctor or technician on duty 24/7. Our understanding of the “standard of care” set forth by the Colorado State Board of Veterinary Medicine is that a referral to a 24 hour care facility is required for intensive/critical situations.
